Job Introduction

We are currently recruiting for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our Finance department in Liverpool. We are looking for someone who is looking to build a long term career in finance as the role offers excellent progression opportunities.

Responsibilities to include:

• Reconciling supplier statements
• Communicating with suppliers on a weekly basis
• Updating payment tracker schedules for month end
• Assisting with cash flow for forecasting purposes
• Assisting bank reconciliation team in completion of reconciling items on a weekly basis
• Responding to all queries with suppliers
• Identifying and processing missing supplier invoices
• Dealing with incoming post within the finance team
• Ensuring KPI’s are maintained with the Finance Mailbox
• Issuing cheques and electronic payments to suppliers

What we are looking for:

• Finance experience would be advantageous but not essential
• Genuine interest in finance with a desire to progress
• Any knowledge of accounts payable work would be beneficial but not essential
• Excellent attention to detail, especially when inputting and reviewing data
• Strong IT skills, using Excel and Word to a high standard
• Excellent communication skills for liaising with colleagues and suppliers
• A good team player
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
