Slater and Gordon is a leading consumer law firm and our mission is to give people easier access to world class legal services. The firm provides specialist legal and complementary services in a broad range of areas and our clients are the centre of it all. 

We are recruiting for a Project Manager to work in our growing Customer team and provide support in the delivery of our projects and programmes. As the Project Manager you will support the customer team to deliver strategic business objectives relating to the S+G charitable partnerships and Membership Service relationships. You will be able to support multiple areas and deliver strategic change to the Company whilst discovering more efficient methods of managing these key areas of Group.  

In the role of Project Manager, you will be required to oversee and drive the definition, planning, direction and delivery of projects in accordance with both stakeholder and overall business requirements. You will support the Commercial Development Director and business development team to deliver the necessary objectives within budget and agreed timescales, whilst managing risk and observing S+G values. 

 

Responsibilities to include:

 

  • Support Customer team to delivery strategic objectives for the Charitable and Membership Service partnerships
  • Draft project execution plans and delivery outputs
  • Coordinate with business development and internal partners to maximise commercial arrangements for existing and prospective partnerships
  • Plan, monitor and report on objectives
  • Define existing parameters of current processes and identify gaps
  • Identify Company requirements and capture them
  • Collaborate with different departments to achieve goals
  • Analyse departmental information needs and function requirements
  • Present options and solutions for the Company’s needs
  • Identify project buffers required and additional timescales early in the project lifecycle
  • Develop Company recommendations during project plans, and ensure they align with Company practices, targets and culture
  • Engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously and develop expertise in all business areas
  • Assess the impact of change to the Company
  • Implement and control change
  • Plan post implementation support processes
  • Monitoring and reporting against agreed targets
  • Co-ordinate with marketing (intake), the legal business and finance to assess partnership profitability and make subsequent recommendations for action. 

 

 

 

About You:

 

  • Experience providing effective senior management support or working within a project/programme environment
  • Experience of working in a customer focused environment with a track record of delivering excellent customer service
  • Proactive ‘can do’ attitude with the ability to think ahead
  • Familiarity with project management tools, templates and the project lifecycle is desirable 
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High quality analytical skills and organisational skills
  • PRINCE2 is desirable
  • Six Sigma is desirable
  • Excellent time management and prioritisation skills
  • Exceptionally organised; eager to put high standards in place
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working in a fast paced environment
