Costs Team Leader

Liverpool

Slater Gordon Group, are recruiting for a Costs Team Leader to join our specialist legal costs consultancy division, Compass Costs Solutions working within our costs offices based in Liverpool.

You will be managing the performance of the customer resolution team to a highest standards to deliver maximum profit costs recoveries and costs revenue into the Group. You will be doing this in line with agreed approved case handling strategies / policies, KPIs, SLAs, targets. You will be producing MI reports to demonstrate performance and delivery against targets and objectives. 

Duties will include:

• Supervising, mentoring and coaching the performance of members of the customer resolution team.
• Ensuring the costs team negotiate offers with a high degree of commerciality and where necessary obtain appropriate authorisation for the acceptance or making of offers.
• Allocating assigned work within the customer resolution team and matching work types with experience.
• Ensuring compliance with KPI’s, SLAs and customer resolution team objectives.
• Developing excellent working relationships with colleagues and clients.

About you:

• History of helping to lead, manage and develop the team to deliver results through, generating a vibrant, positive team oriented culture, focused on delivering excellent client service.
• Ability to ensure that all team members are managed and supported towards their own targets by facilitating an approach of the right work in the right hands
• Experience as a costs litigation fee earner, with an ability to produce bills of costs and/or negotiate to a very high standard.
• Ability to work unsupervised and mentor colleagues
• Proven track record in the legal sector.
